Hangin' with Naomi

Felix made two new friends this week - our good friend Nina and her 4 month old daughter, Naomi! Naomi and Felix have already become fast friends. They went to the park together, took afternoon naps together (well, in separate rooms), and then dropped their pacifiers on the floor at the same time! They also have been sharing with each other - Felix let Naomi use one of his bibs, and Naomi was gracious enough to let Felix look at her favorite book about penguins! Here are a few more shots from our day at the park.

Slip Slidin' Away

The warmer spring weather has made it easier for us to take Felix to his neighborhood park. He has really fallen in love with the slide. What this portends for his future we cannot say, it is hard to know if playtime preferences are good indicators of the roads Felix will take in life.

One, Singular Sensation...

March 26th was an exciting day for Felix and his moms because he turned 1 year old! We celebrated by taking Felix to the Children's Museum, and then making him a special dinner of Mac'n'Cheese, Greens, Butter Beans... and vanilla cupcakes. Felix's MN grandparents and his favorite aunties Corinth and Amanda joined us in singing happy birthday to Felix and then opening some presents. His favorite was a little scooter called a "cheeky-chick" from his TX grandparents. Felix loved it! He scooted around the house on it with his grandpa assisting for about an hour. All in all it was a great day and we are so glad Felix has been in our life this past year. He has given us a new view of the world with his boundless enthusiasm, exuberant love, and infectious laughter.
