mama Nicola and Felix enjoy their last day of leave togetherThis is a little bit of a bittersweet post. Tuesday was my last day of maternity leave, and Felix's last day of fulltime mama-time. On Wednesday we packed his lunchbag (full of bottles) and he started daycare, and did wonderfully! His daycare provider Debbie is wonderful, and Felix adjusted really well. Sleeping and eating, and getting lots of laptime and attention from the other kids. While it was really sad for Susan and I to not have him be at home with one of us, we are glad he is in such a safe and loving place, and glad the he has adapted so smoothly. Of course it wasn't without a few hitches, one of which is that he needed to nurse A LOT both days when he got home, and all evening. But, his mama was totally ok with that!
